Crash Landing
Thursday, December 27th, 2007Naked bloody mess of a man on the pavement.
A hiccup in the system.
A whoosh, and then the sirens. The firemen were on their way. Light-headed sound returned. Air returned.
The little boy cried.
The first moan from the man was very weak. As he slowly regained consciousness, the pain of his mangled bones stabbed inside him, causing him to whither in pain. The moan became unbearable; the noise on the street was not human.
They were wrenched by the sounds of a helpless animal broken in agony.
